This workshop explores interdisciplinary approaches to fieldwork through the trope of “traces”. It takes visual traces (and Tim Ingold’s critique) as its point of departure to interrogate how different forms of inscription discipline forms of attention, extending these insights to modes of writing and digital traces. In doing so, we hope to provide a platform for participants to experiment with different forms of „graphy“, while asking them to reflect upon how their research questions are informed by various modes of inscription.
